What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), destination interest, and your message
- Newsletter (Field Notes): email address if you subscribe in the footer
- Calendly: information you enter when booking a discovery call (name, email, and scheduling details). Calendly processes this data under its own privacy policy
- Client planning: if you become a client, we may collect additional details needed to plan your trip (travel dates, party size, preferences, passport names as required for bookings, etc.)
- Payments (when enabled): if you pay a planning fee through Stripe, payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data through the website. Do not send passport numbers or medical information through the general contact form; we will request those through secure channels when needed for an active booking.
How we use your information
- Respond to inquiries and schedule discovery calls
- Design itineraries and coordinate travel with third-party operators
- Send newsletter updates you have opted into
- Process planning fees when payment features are enabled
- Comply with law and protect against fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your data based on: (a) your consent (newsletter, form submission), (b) steps taken at your request before entering a contract (responding to inquiries, planning), and (c) our legitimate interests in operating a travel advisory business, balanced against your rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

Service providers
We share information with vendors who help us operate the site and business:

- Calendly — Scheduling discovery calls (name, email, and meeting details you provide). See Calendly privacy policy.
Local operators, airlines, and hotels involved in your trip receive only what is necessary to fulfill bookings you authorize.
Cookies and tracking
Mera Journey does not currently run first-party analytics or advertising pixels on this site. Third-party embeds (such as Calendly) may set their own cookies when you use those features. If we add analytics or marketing tags in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, provide a cookie consent mechanism for EU/UK visitors.
Retention
We keep inquiry and client records as long as needed to provide services, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of non-essential data by emailing us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
